The Ogun State government on Monday announced an extension of commencement of 14 days  lockdown earlier announced by President Muhammadu Buhari till Friday, April 3,


The state Governor, Prince Dapo Abioodun made the declaration during the lauching of the state's Isolation Centre in Ikenne.


President Buhari had earlier announced that the lockdown would kick off on Monday at 11p.m, as a measure to curtail spread of Conovirus pandemic.


Fielding questions from journalists the governor said he took the decision after due consultation with the Federal Government.


"It will enable the residents, especially artisans that are not on any payroll prepare well for the compulsory stay-at-home exercise.
