(JUST IN) EndSARS protest: US shuts Consulate in Lagos

The United States has shutdown its Consulate General in Lagos as #EndSARS protest turns violence in the State.

A statement from the US Embassy in Nigeria said the Lagos Consulate General Office would remain shut today and and Wednesday.


Senate tells Buhari: Address Nigerians on #EndSARS

The Senate on Tuesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to, “as soon as possible”, address the nation on issues of #EndSARS protests in the country.

The Upper Chamber also appealed to the movement and protesters to stop their actions and embrace genuine dialogue in order to give the government time and space to meet their demands.

#EndSARS: IGP orders deployment of anti-riot policemen nationwide

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu has ordered immediate nationwide deployment of anti-riot policemen to protect lives and property of all Nigerians and secure critical national infrastructure across the country.
