Ogun Majority leader, Sheriff donates school buses to ease students transportation challenges in Ota



Member of Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ado-Odo-Ota Constituency 1, Hon Sherif Abiodun Yusuf has donated three luxurious buses to ease transportation challenges of students within his Constituency.


He described education as best legacies that should not lack from any child,  beginning of progress and development of every communities.

Sherif, who is also the Majority leader of the state legislature, explained that the vehicles were part of his dream to boost attendance and general enrollment at schools.

“I have had this dream since 2011 while I was Chairman of this local government, but I thank God for making it a reality today”

” I want to use this medium to appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for aloting 20% of the State’s budget to Education this year” Sheriff noted

He assured that the present administration in the state was determined to take Education to an enviable height, promising that the Assembly members were ready to complement the governor's efforts to improve educational standard in the state.

Speaking at the event, Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olakunle Oluomo requested the support of the constituents in maintaining the laudable project.

He appealed that the vehicles should not be used for any other purpose except Educational matters which they were bought for.

The event was witnessed by a representative of the Deputy Governor, Mr Sesan Fagbayi, the Olota of Ota, Oba (Prof) Abdulkabeer Obalanlege, Senator Akin Odunsi, leaders and members of the APC in Ogun West Senatorial district, representatives of ANCOPPS, N.U.T, Zonal Education Officer, Ado-Odo-Ota, as well as students of various schools in the Constituency
