The second place of call immediately the Church Missionary Society(CMS) left Badagry was Ota around 1842. History says, initially, the people of Ota refused to welcome the CMS but because of what the Oracle had already told their progenitors that some visitors will visit the town and their visit will user in good tidings, reluctantly they allowed them to stay, Hence, they gave them a thick forest meant for rituals and other occultic activities to settled.
