A socio-political group in Ogun State has call on Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State to contest for 2023 presidential election.
The group made this call at their first 2020 general meeting held in Ota, Ogun State on January 28th.
The president of Ekiti Patriotic Association of Nigeria (EPAN), Hon. Segun Olaiya said the achievements of Governor Kayode Fayemi while serving as the minister of minerals resources couple with his ongoing giant strides in Ekiti is an eye saw and a testament that he can government this nation and take Nigerians to El-dorado.
In a communiqué jointly signed by the President, Hon. Olaiya and the Secretary, Otunba Oladele Damilola, the group assured the governor that they will give him maximum support in all areas.
The group calls on all well meaning Ekitis and Pan Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere to give their maximum support to governor Fayemi so as to emerge as the Southwest candidate for 2023 presidential election.
We are aware of gimmicks of some people in the southwest to equally contest for this presidential position but we are not deterred in our support for Gov. Fayemi as he is the only best and qualified candidate to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari. He added.
