The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that the numerous reforms that his Government has embarked on are geared towards providing an enabling and conducive environment for local and foreign investors.
The Governor, while playing host to the GIZ-SEDIN team led by its Head of Programme, Detlev Holloh, in the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said that in a bid to reduce the bureaucracies earlier involved in locating a business within the State, his Government has set up three agencies.
The agencies include the Ogun State Investment Promotion Agency, the Ogun State Public-Private Partnership Office, and the Ogun State Business Environment Council.
While commending the team for GIZ-SEDIN's role in the socioeconomic development of Ogun State, Governor Abiodun disclosed that his administration has, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria, invested in the technical and vocational training of artisans across the State. He added that after having been trained in two of the four State-owned ICT Polytechnics, the artisans would be empowered with equipment and funds payable in ten years, to set up their businessess.
