OWODE-OTA ARMED ROBBERY ISSUE- OBA OGUNGBAYI URGES RESIDENTS TO BE CALM, ASSURE THEM OF ADEQUATE SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTY

The traditional ruler of Owode-Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun State, Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi has appeal to the people of his town to remain calm, that he is working seriously with all security apparatus to put an end to the incessant armed robbery cases in the town.

Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi spoke through his Media Assistant cum the Otunba-Ajiroba of Owode, Oladele Damilola Moses, assure the inhabitants of Owode that very soon the town will not witness such urgly situation again.

Otunba Oladele in a statement made available to pressmen this morning, said Kabiyesi and the entire Onitetiku-in-council sympathize with those that these irate boys have visited their houses and part away with their belongings, it is our prayer that God will restore all your lost. I want to assure all the people of Owode that such will not happen again as the palace are on top of the situation.

We have device various security techniques to curb this menace and we will not rest until we put an end to it. Kabiyesi has invited police, military personnel, Ogun Vigilante, Amotekun, they have been place in various strategic places of the town. Not only that, the palace has also ask the "Oro People" to always comes out in the night to support the security agencies.

The palace appreciate the effort of all the CDAs chairmen but urge them not to relent in their effort. The palace ask all the CDAs chairmen to take cognizance of any strange faces in the community and immediately report such to the palace for appropriate action.

Recently, Owode Ota has been witnessing serious armed robbers cases that has led many to lost their properties and cause the inhabitants sleepless night. Many are of the opinion that the armed robbery issues has to do with the "Stay Home" order by the federal government.
