No fewer than 21 suspected street urchins (a.k.a. area boys) and cultists are currently being held in a detention center in Lagos,  following a swoop on them by officials of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) who recovered 78 motorcycles in another operation.

The 21 suspects  were nabbed in notorious places in Ogudu Ojota and  Ajah.

Led by the chairman of the Task Force. Mr Olayinka Saheed Egbeyemi, a Chief Superitendent of Police, CSP, the suspects arrested  in Ikoto- Malam, Kuwait area of ogudu, were reported to have attacked the officials of the Task Force with dangerous weapons such as broken bottles, knives and stones.

However, the officials resisted them and nabbed over 13 suspects as substance suspected to be Indian hemp, knives and broken bottles were recovered from them.

At Ajah axis, it's the same story as no fewer than 8 miscreants and cultists were apprehended.

Confirming the story, Egbeyemi,  who disclosed that the Agency was acting on a marching order  given to it by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, stressing the Agency would not rest on his oars until miscreants and other disgruntled elements in the state give up their nefarious acts.

He also said no fewer than 78 motorcycles whose riders defiled the state government order on social distancing,  had their bikes impounded by the Agency.

Egbeyemi further added that the suspects will face prosecution soon as investigation is completed.

He enjoined miscreants, cultists and those who have no regards to existing laws and orders to have a rethink as he said the Agency under his watch would not spare such persons.
