One of the foremost traditional rulers in Awori Kingdom, Oba Samuel Olufemi Ojugbele, the Onilogbo of Ilogbo-Asowo, Ogun State has described the death of Olofin of Isheri, Ogun State, Oba Nurudeen Adekanmbi has a great lost to the entire Awori Kingdom.
Kabiyesi disclosed this in his condolence message to the family of the departed monarch, the people of Isheri Olofin and the entire Awori kingdom. He said the news of his death came to him as a big shock and blow to the communal struggle of Awori emancipation.
Oba Ojugbele said “Awori have lost yet another dogged fighter, faithful ally, brave, courageous and patriotic Awori Oba”. The royal father advised the family, the Isheri Olofin community and the entirety of Awori not to be sorrowful because Oba Adekanmbi has played his good part and gone.
“Oba Adekanmbi has played his role and he has gone, it is for us that he left behind to continue to maintain his legacy. It is my prayer that God will give us grace to bear this irreparable loss and for us to be able to fill the vacuum he left behind”, he added.
