The Anglican Bishop of Awori Diocese, the Rt. Revd. Dr. J Akin Atere, has congratulates the newly appointed Ogun State Head of Service, TPL Amope Ajibola Chokor.
The cleric, described Mrs Chokor's appointment, by Governor Dapo Abiodun as a blessing as to Ogun State, Otta, and Awori in particular. The Bishop, in his message said, with the appointment of Mrs. Chokor, the Ogun State Civil Service Commission will wear a new look because the HOS will use her wealth of knowledge and experiences to bring sanctity to the state.
In his Lordship congratulatory message, written and signed by Oladele Damilola, the Diocesan Assistant Communicator, the cleric congratulate Mrs. Chokor on her appointment. "I, the Lord Bishop of Awori Anglican Diocese, the Rt. Revd. Dr. Akin Atere, on behalf of all members of Awori Diocese, congratulate you on your recent appointment as the new Ogun State HEAD OF SERVICE. It is my prayer that God will work with you, He will give you wisdom from above".
The Bishop, therefore charged the new Head of Service to use her wealth of experiences to bring sanctity to Ogun State Civil Service, he equally appeal to her to use her good office to seek for the welfare of all the workers in Ogun State.
"Let me also remind you that, presently, the Ogun State Civil Service Commission needs your wealth of experiences to make the state move forward, please make sure, you use it very well.Let the welfare of all Ogun State Workers be your priority, never hesitate to use your good office to seek for their welfare", he added.
Until her appointment, Mrs Chokor was Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service Commission.
Mrs Chokor, an accomplished town planner and administrator, hails from Imapa Quarters at Ota, in Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government area of the State.
In appointing her as the new Head of Service, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abiodun, Kunle Somorin said in a media release said that: “The Ogun State Government, under Governor Abiodun knows that TPL Chokor, who has proven over the years to understand the system, would put to use her vast knowledge in the management of the State Civil Service and also maintain the high standard that the service is known for”.
She replaced the former Head of Service, Engr Lanre Bisiriyu.
