ONITETIKU CONGRATULATES NEW OGUN STATE HEAD OF SERVICE



The traditional ruler of Owode-Otta, Awori Kingdom has felicitated with Mrs Amope Ajibola Chokor on her appointment as the new Head of Service for Ogun State.
The first class Oba and the Director Generator of SouthWest Obas forum, Oba Dr. Abdulwasiu Adeyanju Ogungbayi, described Mrs Chokor’s appointment by Governor Dapo Abiodun as historic and a honour well-deserved especially to the good people of Awori Kingdom in the State.

In his congratulatory message, Oba Ogungbayi prayed that Mrs Chokor’s tenure would bring positive transformation and development to Ogun State Civil Service Commission.

The message, written and signed on behalf of Oba Ogungbayi by His Media Assistant, Otunba Oladele Damilola and made available to Press, reads, "My dear sister, I am sure of your good pedigree, your love to the service of your father's land is second to none. Appointing you as the HEAD OF SERVICE OF OGUN STATE BY OUR AMIABLE GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN is a testament of your goodwill, I pray that good Lord will continue to be with you. I also congratulates the entire Aworis on this prestigious and meritorious honour given to us by HIS EXCELLENCY". 

The monarch assured the governor of the support and loyalty of Awori people to his government.  

Until her appointment, Mrs Chokor was Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service Commission.
Mrs Chokor, an accomplished town planner and administrator, hails from Imapa Quarters at Ota, in Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government area of the State.
In appointing her as the new Head of Service, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abiodun, Kunle Somorin said in a media release said that: “The Ogun State Government, under Governor Abiodun knows that TPL Chokor, who has proven over the years to understand the system, would put to use her vast knowledge in the management of the State Civil Service and also maintain the high standard that the service is known for”.
She replaced the former Head of Service, Engr Lanre Bisiriyu.
