BISHOP ATERE SET TO INAUGURATES OJU-ORE ARCHDEACONRY

February, 2020, has been fixed for the inauguration of the newly created Archdeaconry in the Diocese of Awori, Anglican Communion, Otta, Ogun State.

The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese, the Rt. Revd. Dr. J. Akin Atere, disclosed this on 16th of December at the last Board meeting of the Diocese held at the Cathedral of St. James, Ipate Oyinbo, Otta.

The Cleric in his word said "having fulfilled the prescribed requirements requested from Oju-Ore zone to be upgraded to the status of an Archdeaconry, I want to announce to the whole house that the zone has been upgraded to Archdeaconry status".

The Diocesan Board is the highest decision making body of the Dioceses in Anglican Communion worldwide. In acceptance by the whole house for the upgrading of the zone to an Archdeaconry, members presently, joyfully shout hallelujah.

In his appreciation message, the Archdeacon of the newly created Archdeaconry, Ven. Stephen Ayotunde Oluwawalemi appreciated the Lord Bishop of the diocese for considering the zone to be upgraded to an Archdeaconry, he therefore promised the house that by His grace, he will not relent in spreading the gospel in the Archdeaconry. Ven. Oluwawalemi appeal to members of the Diocesan Board for support in all areas especially as they prepare for their inauguration.
