BISHOP AKIN ATERE CALLS FOR TOTAL SOBERNESS. URGE PEOPLE TO PRAY

The Lord Bishop of Awori Anglican Diocese, Ota, Ogun State, the Rt. Revd. Dr Akin Atere has called on all Nigerians and the whole world to go on their knees, confess their sins to God and ask for His forgiveness so that the anger of God will cease on the land.
The cleric disclosed this at the Diocesan maiden online telecast, tagged "IF MY PEOPLE WILL PRAY", monitored by our correspondent. The Bishop said the present pandemic that is going on in the world is a punishment from God as result of our sins.

"The sins of Nigeria and the whole world is much, we are busy committing abominable sins by telling lies, killing and shedding of innocent blood, extorting money, bad governance". God is not happy with all these".
"We have many churches, countless general overseers and pastors yet the sins continue to increase". He added. Bishop Atere condemned the way these pastors are leading people astray. "These false teachers has led many people astrayed, unfortunately the innocent believers rush to these churches to listen to messages that will not challenge them to live uprightly", he said.

The cleric urge the whole world to retrace their steps back to God and ask Him to cleanse us of our sins and heal our land.
" It is time we go back to God, we should ask for His forgiveness with a pure heart and pray to Him to heal the world. As it is recorded in 2nd Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14. I am sure, God will hear our prayers. The situation now is so pathetic, churches have been closed, things are falling apart but I am  assuring the whole world, God will heal our land"
