Covid-19: Ogun Government To Give Palliatives To Journalists– Remmy Hazzan

As part of its efforts to cushion the effect of the imminent total lockdown, the Ogun State government has promised to give out palliatives to journalists working in the State.
In a monitored radio programme today on Sweet 107.1 FM,  the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Pastor Remmy Hazzan said although journalists in the state may not totally fall in vulnerability state, adding that most media houses have gone further to assist their workers to cushion the effect of Covid-19.
He however stated that it is of note that because journalists are essential workers and may be daily exposed to contracting the virus, it is therefore necessary that the government also cater for their needs at this trying times.
“Just last week, I spoke with the governor concerning this subject matter and am happy to report back that very soon, the whole compliments of journalists in the State will be called for palliatives measure” he said
Recalled that the Akwa Ibom State government recently dole out cash, food stuff as stimulus package to all journalists in the State as measures to further cushion the effect of the pandemic in the State.
