OGUN DPO'S ADVISES CDAS TO HAVE A CLEAR LEADER

The three divisional police officers in Ota and it's environs, CSP Godwin Idehai of Sango-Ota division, CSP Job Bamidele of Onipanu Division and CSP Monday Unugbe of Itele division have advised community development association to ensure that each community have a clear leader.

The trio divisional officers made this known today in their joint special meeting with The Voice Magazine Publisher in attendance on how to curtailed incessant cases of hoodlums that always causes unrest in the community.

CSP Bamidele in his submission, cited a case in Iyana-iyesi on how he found it difficult to get a community elder that can pacified some irate youths that burnt trucks that disturbed the peace of the society in order to retaliate the death of one of them that was killed by a truck due to brake failure.

The DPO disclosed that "I got a distressed call from a passerby on how some irate youths were disturbing the motorists and the community because a brake failure truck killed one of them. I led my team to the place to restored peace but unfortunately, I could not find any respectable clear leader that can talk to these youths because we don't want to use force on them"

The Onipanu DPO said it took him some minutes before he could pacified the youths.

In his own submission, the Sango-Ota Divisional Officers narrated how God saved him yesterday when he went to restored peace to the Iloye youths that were causing unrest in the community.

CSP Godwin said they nearly stoned him to dwath with heavy stone before God took control.

In his word, "Our problem in this area is because their is no respected leader in our community. Some can not even control their immediate family, this is so worrisome, and our traditional rulers must find something to do to this"

This was what happened yesterday at Iloye when some youths were causing problems in the community which caused many people to panic in the area. I led my team to the place, I was amazed when I saw the youths throwing stone at me, it was God's intervention before I could controlled the situation, all because their was nobody to addressed the youth, and as I an officer, we don't want to used any weapon on them since it's civil matter". He added

The officers called on Community Development Association to go and form a formidable leader that are capable of managing crises in their community. " This will help us alot in restoring peace to any waring community" they said.

They assured the people of their adequate security of lives and properties at anytime and the CDA should be ready to work the security agencies.
