Oba Ogungbayi disclosed this during his courtesy visit to the duo at their offices. The traditional ruler appreciated the officers for been committed to their works and make a recommendation that the gallant officers should be promoted. The Onitetiku of Owode said his recommendation was based on the prompt action of the officers in ensuring security of lives and properties in his community.
During his visitation to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, the foremost traditional ruler asked the authority of the Nigeria Police to come and assess the five locations allocated for the building of Police Station in the community.
In his words, Oba Ogungbayi said "I am here to express my sincere appreciation to you for your commitment towards the protection of lives and properties. This you displayed to me recently when I put a distressed call to you. I am also here to ask that you send your men to come and assess the five locations, earmarked for the building of Police Station in my community"
It is of this note I want to called on the Nigeria Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police as a matter of urgency to promote ACP Monday Agbonika and his DPO, CSP Godwin Idehai. We need people like these in our security agencies, people that take their job diligently and dedicatedly, he added.
In his response, the Area Commander appreciate the visit of the traditional ruler and ask the Kabiyesi and his entourage to discussed the opening of the new divisional police headquarters with the DPO, who will thereafter put them through on how to go about it.
The creation of Police Divisional Headquarters is the duty of the State Commissioner of Police, I want to appeal to you Kabiyesi, please discussed this with the DPO for his direction. He said.
The Area Commander frowned on the rate people spread fake information and ask the Oba to ensured that his subjects did not give false information to the Police or general public. He equally charged the Kabiyesi and his entourage to go and build fence round the primary and secondary schools in the community.
ACP Monday urged them to continue to maintained community policing especially at night and advised them to caution their youths not to involve in hoodlums or any form of criminal activities and ensure that the Okada riders are not packing on the express road.
