According to the Congratulatory letter send by the Cleric to the State Governor, the Bishop rejoices sincerely with the governor as he attained the proverbial age of 60. In the letter, “I, the Rt. Revd. Dr. Johnson Akin Atere, the lord bishop of Awori Diocese, (Anglican Communion) Ota, on behalf of the Diocesan Board, the house of clergy and laity, sincerely write to felicitate with your Excellency and identify with you and your dear wife as you clock 6decades and your one year anniversary as the Chief pilot of our beloved State”.
Bishop Atere said for someone to attain the age of 60 is by the grace of God. The Bishop expressed his heartfelt appreciation to God for giving the people of Ogun State a governor like Prince Dapo Abiodun who is not only a Christian but also a child of God.
“We are so lucky in Ogun State not only to have to have a child of God but Anglican Communion member as our governor. The word of God has come to fulfillment in Ogun State that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice, within your one year in the office, the State has enjoyed relative peace; you have brought smiles to the faces of the people by touching all the essential areas like education, infrastructure , health care, security, economic and community development”.
The Chief Shepherd of the Diocese urged the governor to continue in his good works to humanity and never allow anything to distract him. He finally prayed for the governor for God’s guidance and protection. “Unto Gracious Father I commit your Excellency, the Lord bless and keep you, make His face to shine upon you, the Lord be gracious unto you. May He continue to grant you the needed wisdom, knowledge and strength to administer the state further to an enviable position in Jesus name. amen.
