Two passengers on a commercial motorcycle, Okada, on Friday, narrowly escaped being killed by a Man-Diesel truck which ran over the rider at Lombardy  area inbound Ojuore, Idiroko road, Ota.

An eyewitness account informed TheCaveat.info that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. when the owner of the okada with TTN377WJ Boxer Red colour rode dangerously as he was trying to overtake the Man-Diesel truck with Reg No. XA733MGU, going on the same lane.

"As he tried to maneuver at a big pothole, a passerby suddenly crossed the road, and while trying to avoid hitting him and at the same time avoid the pothole, the Okada rider ran across the truck which immediately ran over him and killed him.

"Incidentally, two passengers at the back of the motorcycle jumped over the bike and thereby escaped being hit. But they sustained various degrees of injury", the eyewitness recounted.
