MEET ONE OF THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMISSIONER OF OGUN STATE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION – CHIEF HON. SESAN FAGBAYI


I am very delighted to be part of the life of Chief Sesan Fagbayi in his quest for his political aspiration and endeavour in continuation of his service to humanity. He has worked with Chevron Nigeria Limited, where he has put in an honourable service of over 27years to the Multinational Company and, of course, a renowned World Class Oil and Gas Company in Nigeria without any blemish.



Chief Sesan Fagbayi was born on the 26th of April, 1966 in Ipatira village to the family of late Mr. and Mrs. Fagbayi of Ejila Awori, Igbesa in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State, Nigeria.

He began his intellectual pursuits at All Saints Anglican primary School, Igbesa between 1971 to 1977, thereafter; he proceeded to Amuwo Odofin Grammar School School, Amuwo, Lagos State between 1979 to 1984 for his West Africa Examination Certificate.

Young and very vibrant Sesan was consumed with glowing zeal for higher education and of becoming a seasoned administrator; he proceeded to the University of Lagos for his Diploma and Higher Diploma in Computer and management Studies between 1995 to 1999.
Subsequently, he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in the year 2004. He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics Education (B.Ed) in 2005 and also a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in the year 2007, both from the University of Calabar.

However, this fulfillment did not come on a platter of gold, it came as a result of his foresight, hard work, zest and strong determination to succeed in life.
Adding impetus to educational pursuits, he obtained the following professional certificates, Certificate in Interpersonal Communication Skills. Certificate in Labour Research and Training Services, Certificate in Trade Union Management, specializing in Conflict Resolution and manufacturing Industrial Harmony in the workplace. Certificate in Information Management, An Alumnus of the University of Calabar and the Prestigious Michael Imoudu Institute for Labour Studies (Mills), Ilorin, Nigeria.

It is commonly stated that honours and awards are given to those who deserve it, therefore, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi is a great man of honour and excellence to add more feathers to his cap, and he possesses the following Honours and Awards
The Apesin of Ipatira land in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State. The Patron, Boys Scout of Nigeria. Award of Best Education Support Individual in Ogun State by all Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools, (ANCOPPS), 2014. Best Friendly Individual Award of Excellence given by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Chapter 2014. Best Supportive Individual Award (Community Ambassador) An Award given by the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, Ogun State 2014.
Award of Honour in recognition of Service delivery as Executive member of Chevron branch of NUPENG 2004, 2008)
The Voice Magazine Man of the Year 2015.
He is a member of Committee for Defence of Human Right (CDHR) 1997 till date. He is an active member of various organizations and charities within and outside Nigeria and he is widely travelled. He is exposed to management courses and programmes that have equipped him to steer the representation in Nigeria or elsewhere.
Respected and acclaimed by his close associates as a disciplined and open minded person with high octane passion. Sesan Fagbayi is a proven management, political and strategic corporate focus.

He is an astute, dogged, humane and unassuming gentleman. A man of the people and acknowledge grassroots politician cum reputable community leader, a man whose records of life are laced with an honourable honour and of impeccable.
He is an advocate of good governance and better standard of living for the people through high level of welfare.
