ENDBAD ROADS - ONILOGBO PREACHES PEACE TO PROTESTERS, SAYS HE IS IN THEIR SUPPORT

The traditional ruler of Ilogbo-Asowo in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government of Ogun State, Oba Samuel Olufemi Ojugbele has advised the youths of the community to maintain peace as they make their grievances known to the government and the whole world.

Oba Samuel Ojugbele accompanied by His Baaroyin, Otunba Damilola Moses Oladele meet the protesters gave this advised today in his palace when the youths visited him. The leader of the protesters, said the people of the community has been going through pains whenever they go about their daily business due to the bad roads. He laments that the government has abandoned the town when it comes to community development.

In the word of the youth leader, "Kabiyesi, our roads has become a deathtrap, whenever their is election, this politicians will come to us and cajoled us that they will construct our roads but when they win our vote, we will not hear anything from them again. Baba, we have also joined our contemporaries to use this opportunity to make our grievances known to our government through you sir"

In his response to the protesters, Oba Ojugbele appreciated them for their love for the community and for dim it fit to visit him as they make their grievances known to the government. The notable monarch informed the protesters that he is in their support all the time since they are seeking for the development of the community.

"I am happy that you my children have taking this bold steps to demand for your rights. 50years ago, I have been agitating for a virile and egalitarian society especially by demanding for the right of my people in Ilogbo, Ota and the entire Aworiland". I fought for the establishment of schools in Ilogbo, social amenities. Thank God, I succeeded in getting the school, but unfortunately, just as you my children have said, the roads is still in a bad shape"

The traditional ruler charged them to continue to maintained peace in order not to disrupt the peace of the society. "I want to appeal to you to continue to maintain your peaceful protest so that hoodlums will not hijack it  and cause chaos in the community. My Children, please stay away from anything that can cause you death, I don't want to loose anyone of you, please don't be use by anybody or allow yourself to be killed" he added.

Ilogbo youths has recently joined their counter part across the federation to protest against the bad governance in the country and to equally ask the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to come to the aid of Ilogbo-Asowo in the area of constructing roads. All the three 3 roads that leads to the community has turned to a deathtrap for over decades.
