There seems to be no end to the ongoing protest in the blocked Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway, in spite of intervention of the Ota monarch, Olota of Ota, Abdulkabir Obalanlege.

The Olota who left his palace in the midst of Ota chiefs, found his way to the protesting scene at Joju with the aim to persuading the protesters to leave the expressway while sending home their message to the government.

Although the protesters who in unison welcomed and accorded Olota royal obeisance with the shout of K- a- b- i-y -e- s- i-ooo, however became defiant when Olata urged them to choose four of their representatives so that he could go with them to the Governor in Abeokuta.

The protesters retorted in unison, "We have no leaders. We want to see the Governor here. We campaigned for him on the road. He should be able to meet us on the road. Enough of bad roads in Ota, Igbesa, Ijoko, Idiroko road, etc.

Again, the royal father in another attempt to move the protesters away from the expressway, informed  the protesters that  he had earlier met with the governor and urged him to declare State of Emmergency  on all Ota roads, Kabiyesi assured them that he would go back again to tell the governor the protesters' message.
