OGUN STATE CCN CHAIRMAN, BISHOP AKIN ATERE COMMENDS GOV DAPO ABIODUN, URGES HIM AND FG TO REHABILITATE ROADS AND DEVELOPS EDUCATION



The Chairman of Ogun State Christian Council of Nigeria (CNN), the Rt. Revd. Dr. J. Akin Atere has commended the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for executing people’s oriented programme and policies, especially his prompt response to the Covid-19 pandemic, building of low cost housing scheme and road rehabilitation and construction. 


The Bishop of Awori Anglican Diocese, equally appreciate the governor for not laying off some workers employed at the tail end of the past administration. He commended him for being proactive to security of lives and properties of the citizens of the State.  

The CCN Chairman disclosed this in the communiqué issued at the end of the Council meeting in Abeokuta on Thursday, October 14th, 2020. Bishop Atere urged the federal government to rehabilitates some few federal roads within the State. He lamented the pains that the road users are going through on daily basis.

On the issue of Security, he advised the State government to empower the Amotekun so as to compliment the efforts of the Nigeria Police. The Anglican Bishop equally calls on the Nigeria Police authority to ensure proper training of their men and equally listen to the yearnings of the masses as regards the Ban of SARS.  

“It is time our governments especially at the Federal level listen to the demands of the people. The government needs to overhaul the educational sector so that our children can enjoy adequate education. The standard of our education is falling daily, much attention needs to be given to it” he added.
